The new mission of Parallel 8 Productions is to provide a neutral platform for Boxers who "want to be seen" but do not have a quality platform to be seen on. To accomplish this goal, Boxers are filmed while training, competing, and sparring and then posted on Social Media. The end point of this endeavor is to introduce talented athletes and Rising Stars to an international audience so that they may build a following prior to and during their Pro Career. Parallel 8 is the page where everyone has a chance to be seen.
Parallel 8 Productions does not host unsanctioned events, "smokers", or competitive sparring between gyms. Content posted online documents what is already taking place and is done with the consent of the gym owner and boxers present.
Hard sparring is not required to be featured on Parallel 8. Boxers should listen to their coaches and train accordingly. In my experience, online viewers value skill more than damage.
Content filmed at a public event or created from publicly available footage does not require consent, as it is a public environment. There is no expectation of privacy. Furthermore, if Parallel 8 has filmed at a sanctioned event, it was with prior consent from the show's organizer and a media pass.
In a private setting, such as a boxing gym, boxers are encouraged to speak up if they do not want to be filmed. No footage will be taken of the requesting party.
